The University of Nottingham Delegation Revisited SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science at SWUFE for Exchange and Discussion

On the afternoon of November 1st, Professor Thanaset Chevapatrakul, Director of Student Recruitment, Nottingham University Business School, Anney An, Head of Partnership Relations, the University of Nottingham, and Lily Ma, Senior International Partnerships Manager and Head of Shanghai Office, the University of Nottingham, visited our Institute for cooperative discussions. They were welcomed by MA Lei, Director of the Office of Student Development and Support, along with LU Qi and LIAO Mi from the Office of Program and Quality Assurance at our Institute.




Building on prior communications, LU Qi provided an overview of our Institution’s history, educational philosophy, curriculum design, talent development model, and the outcomes of our first graduates. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, academic exchanges, and faculty-student visits. Lily Ma and Anney An detailed Nottingham University’s background, rankings, program offerings, employment support, alumni network, and graduates' employability. They expressed a desire to strengthen communication and enhance collaboration between our institutions.


During the meeting, both sides delved deeper into the collaboration on master's programs between our Institute and two faculties at the University of Nottingham: the Nottingham University Business School and the School of Mathematical Sciences. Discussions revolved around future admission criteria, scholarship policies, and academic support and counseling during the study period. Anney An and Lily Ma highlighted the curriculum planning and career guidance in finance and mathematics, emphasizing the alignment of program content with job market demands.


This meeting clarified the direction and future development of cooperation between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for deeper collaboration.
